Christina Gordon-Henderson

Sustainable, thriving leadership emerges when leaders are well-resourced to develop their self-leadership capacities.


I am a self-leadership consultant and facilitator, working with women and organisations to support sustainable, thriving leadership under pressure.


My work focuses on how people lead themselves in complex, high-responsibility environments — particularly where internal pressure, self-criticism, and the expectation to cope quietly shape behaviour, decision-making, and wellbeing at work.


My professional background spans human rights law, NGO leadership, and more than fifteen years of coaching and leadership mentoring. Across these fields, I have consistently seen how external responsibility and achievement often coexist with a heavy internal load — especially for women in leadership and influence.


InPower Evolving reflects the belief that effective and sustainable leadership does not come from being “empowered” from the outside, nor from continual self-improvement. Instead, it comes from being more fully resourced in one’s own power — with greater self-awareness, self-regulation, and choice in how one responds to pressure, challenge, and complexity.


In practice, this means supporting people to:


  • recognise unhelpful internal patterns that drive reactivity or self-doubt
     
  • strengthen self-leadership and decision-making under pressure
     
  • develop ways of working that are effective and sustainable over time
     

My work includes consultancy and advisory work, facilitated workshops, reflective group programmes, and PQ-integrated self-leadership programmes. While relevant across many professional contexts, my particular focus is supporting women in leadership and high-responsibility roles.


I am based in Switzerland and work in English with individuals and organisations locally and internationally

My work is grounded in the belief that sustainable leadership begins with self-leadership — particularly in environments where responsibility, complexity, and pressure are high.


I work with individuals and organisations who want to provide resources to move beyond coping and performance at all costs, towards ways of working that are effective and sustainable over time.

My Approach

I combine reflective self-leadership practices with practical tools that support clarity, self-regulation, and choice under pressure.  My work is informed by:


  • positive psychology and neuroscience-informed approaches
     
  • Positive Intelligence (PQ) principles and practices
     
  • women-centred leadership and identity-based development
     
  • my background in law, leadership, and long-term coaching practice
     

Rather than focusing solely on performance or mindset, I pay close attention to the internal patterns that shape how people respond to challenge — including self-criticism, over-responsibility, and reactivity under pressure.


What this looks like in Practice

Depending on context and need, my work may include:
